The mission of the Downeast Lakes Land Trust is to contribute to the long-term economic and environmental well-being of the Downeast Lakes region through the conservation and exemplary management of its forests and waters. The land trust owns and manages the 27,080-acre Farm Cove Community Forest, with 62 miles of shoreline on 6 lakes, and partnered with the New England Forestry Foundation to protect an additional 312,000 acres of working forest with a conservation easement. This century old fishing lodge offers outstanding dining and accommodations in the best of the classic Maine sporting camp tradition. Guide services available. Snow Forest Adventures offers world class dog sledding expeditions in Algonquin Park, Temagami and Canada's far north. Our trips range in length from a half day to ten days. On all multi-day expeditions we stay in heated canvas prospector tents, all meals and snacks are provided. We are very passionate about what we do and strive to provide the best dog care and client experience in the industry. Our well trained certified guides are made up of a number of industry professionals and combined have over 35 years of dog sledding experience.
