Intermediate Sections for 13-14 year olds follow the traditional routes of the Malecite and Wabnaki peoples through central and northern Maine.
Section C2 is for entry level canoeists and is offered in two, four, or six week enrollment periods, exploring the remote headwater lakes of the St Croix, Machias, and Penobscot watersheds and the the St. Croix River.
Section C1 is primarily for those with some experience and is offered in three or six week enrollments, focusing on wilderness river travel. Examples of Section C1 trips include the St. Croix River, the Machias River, the St. John River, the East and West Branches of the Penobscot River, and the famous Allagash River.
